Few hours after the Nigerian former minister of aviation, Femi Fani Kayode, FFK, had reacted to the tragic attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna State, by bandits, Reno Omokri, Nigerian politician and lawyer praises former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, claiming that it is hard to tell the difference between the present day government and bandits.
It is noteworthy that the attack on the country’ s foremost military training institution led to the killing of at least two officers while some personnel were kidnapped in the process.
Reno Omokri who reacted to the tragic story said:
” I am still stunned at the audacity! Bandits broke into the Nigerian Defence Academy, killed two military officers, and abducted two others. Are we not seriously naked? Who is the government in Nigeria? Buhari or bandits? Imagine that this happened under Jonathan. ”
Further reports had said the bandits who invaded the defense base came in their large numbers and shot dead two officers identified as Lieutenant Commodore Wulah and Flight Lieutenant CM Okoronwo, and also abducted Major Datong, while 2nd Lieutenant Onah sustained gunshot injuries. A reliable source within the barracks cited by SaharaReporters said:
” It was a terrible experience; the bandits took advantage of the time when most people had gone to bed to attack the barracks. ”
” Right now, the whole barracks is under lock and key and security has been beefed up so that the bandits cannot leave the barracks because it is believed that they are still within. ”
Meanwhile, the Nigerian former minister of aviation had condemned the act, deeming it an embarrassment.
