Colin Farrell is pretty excited for who he is taking as his plus one to the Academy Awards. Prepare yourselves because it is adorable – it’s his youngest son. The star revealed that Henry, 13, whose mother is Mexican-Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, will be joining him at the prestigious ceremony on March 12.
Colin is nominated for the best actor Oscar for his portrayal of Pádraic Súilleabháin in The Banshees of Inisherin, the first nomination in his 25-year career. The In Bruges actor – who also has 19-year-old son James with model Kim Bordenave – is very excited for the evening, and he and Henry are dressing to impress!
‘We’re both wearing velvet tuxes,’ he told Vanity Fair. Colin is quite private about his sons, but Henry recently featured in a Cork-based story when Colin had a past ban lifted for his alleged ‘outrageous behaviour’ at a bar when he was 19.
He revisited the establishment during a road trip with Henry back in September, where he is now pals with the landlady, where she said she was ‘proud of him no matter what’. The actor’s acclaimed Irish movie is nominated for a total of nine gongs at the Los Angeles bash.
The 46-year-old said at the time of his nomination: ‘[I’m] just so grateful to the Academy for all the love it’s shared with the Banshees’ cast and crew. Also, beyond honoured to be lumped together with my fellow nominees. A heartfelt congratulations to all the lads.
